The O C’s

Here is the second album by Thee Oh Sees this year, and boy-howdy are we lucky.  Really just two EP’s smooshed into one album (Carrion Crawler/The Dream).  This psyched-out group of bandidos hail from San Francisco, no surprise there.  This album sees the band flexing its muscles and stretching out a little bit more on some instrumental jams, and focusing less on the quirky vocals.  At times they even establish a real nice pocket to groove out in.  Perfect for your drugged-out, drooling roommate that won’t seem to get his/her life together… and are those horns on Carrion Crawler or am I having flashbacks.
